GABZ is a member of the SOUL MAVERICKS Crew.

Gabz began dancing back in the year 2000. He was a Medical Student at the time and had been inspired to start b-boying after watching a video of the 1996 UK B-Boy Championships. He went to UK Championships founder DJ HOOCH's club night and met dancers with whom he began to train and socilaise in the b-boy scene.

A self-taught dancer, Gabz decided to take his art to the competitive circuit in 2001 and began to taste success after reaching the finals of the Urban Games b-boy competition, a prestigious event of the b-boy calendar during its time. A string of competitive accolades followed both in the UK and internationally. In 2005, after completing his Medical Degree, Gabz became a first generation member of the newly formed Soul Mavericks Crew. In the same year he competed at the UK B-boy Championships amongst the world's finest b-boys.

Gabz has an expansive dance career having performed in music videos, in commercials, on stage and on television as well as continuing to compete on the international b-boy circuit. Gabz is well established in his field and has a strong athletic style and flow. His movement is always executed with conviction and he has an array of interesting transitions that keep people guessing. In 2009 he won the 'Regional Conflict' National B-Boy Championships solo competition earning him the prestigious title of National Solo B-Boy Champion.

Gabz has studied Aikido since the age of 9 and was the youngest black-belt in the UK when he passed his grading. He is also a certified coach and has a great deal of teaching experience. Gabz truly is one of the UK's most diverse doctors!
